BATTLE OF THE BIKES 71Km

 The 71.8 km route sets off from Landboudal Secondary School in Jacobsdal and offers a slightly shorter but equally gritty challenge. With 85% gravel roads and just over 231 m of climbing, this course is a perfect mix of fast flats, rolling hills, and rugged farm tracks.
Riders head out on quiet backroads toward Waterpoint 1 (16.6 km), tackling some early undulations before settling into a steady rhythm across the open Northern Cape landscape. The middle section features a long northern loop through farmland, followed by a descent toward the Modder River area.ntained gravel, making it accessible for riders of various skill levels.
Refuel at Waterpoint 2 (51.8 km) and Waterpoint 3 (60.7 km) before pushing through the final 10 km of winding gravel section back to Landboudal Secondary School. With a 15% paved to 85% unpaved ratio, this ride is made for adventure-ready gravel and mountain bikers looking for a tough but doable endurance test.
