The MATSA returns on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at Kandiri Game Lodge. This iconic race starts at 7:00 am and will once again push your limits as you traverse the challenging and breathtaking routes through the landscapes of South Africa's Free State battlefields. "The MATSA is a unique opportunity for both gravel and mountain bike riders of all levels to test their limits on South Africa's challenging gravel roads. Experience the beauty of the countryside while competing against fellow cyclists. Choose your weapon and make your mark at the MATSA." E-bikes are eligible to participate, but will not eligible for podium positions.

For all riders completing the full 160km distance. Open to both Men and Women.
Open Class – QUEST 87Km Distance
For all riders taking on the middle distance. Open to both Men and Women.
Open Class – DASH 35Km Distance
For all riders tackling the short distance. Open to both Men and Women.
Note: There are no separate bike categories – ride what you’ve got, whether it's a Gravel Bike or Mountain Bike!
