BATTLE OF THE BIKES

Mark your calendars for the Battle of the Bikes on October 3rd , 2026! Hosted at the Jacobsdal Inn. This eagerly anticipated event starts at 7:00 am and offers a experience for professional cyclists and enthusiastic hobbyists alike. Ride through history amidst the scenic battlefields between Jacobsdal, Kimberley and Bloemfontein.
Event Details:
Date & Time: October 3rd, 2026, starting at 7:00 am.
Location: Jacobsdal Inn
Routes: Choose your challenge: 140km, 71km, and 37km. Gravel Bikes, Mountain Bikes and E-Bikes are all welcome. E-bikes are eligible to participate but will not be eligible for podium positions.  To view the route(s), click on the links below.

Open Class – Full 140Km
For all riders completing the full 140km distance. Open to both Men and Women.
QUEST Open Class – Middle Distance
For all riders taking on the middle distance. Open to both Men and Women.
DASH Open Class – Short Distance
For all riders tackling the short distance. Open to both Men and Women.
Note: There are no separate bike categories – ride what you’ve got, whether it's a Gravel Bike or Mountain Bike!
